Instagram Stories and Snapchat Stories are incredible tools for authors. You can communicate information in a quick, easy way that makes the content exclusive and time sensitive because it disappears after 24 hours.
But why make content that you can’t get more life out of? I’m a huge fan of repurposing content because it saves you so much time and energy, and it allows you to open content up to new fans in a new way.
Here’s what I mean:
I highly recommend repurposing your Stories content. Use it on your youtube page, on your website, in your blog posts, and then turn around and put it on your other social media platforms.
Now, I know what you’re thinking…how do I repurpose other types of content?
Here’s a great article on REPURPOSING YOUR FACEBOOK LIVE VIDEOS.
We’ve also got a great video coming out on HOW TO REPURPOSE YOUR INSTAGRAM ALBUMS.
Plus we talk about repurposing content in our videos and live broadcasts all the time.
Now remember, not all Stories are worth repurposing. I know sometimes we jump on just for the sake of talking and those types of videos aren’t necessary to save. But 90% of your Stories should have a purpose, should give your fans value, and should give them a look into your books that they can’t find anywhere else. So make your Stories count!
Have a Story that you repurposed? Share the link in the comment, I’d love to see it!
Stay inspired,
